Elliot hails from Caerphilly, on the outskirts of Cardiff.
He began his playing career at the age of 11 in the BTM Brass Band, starting in the junior band being taught by well-known euphonium player Mark Hutcherson. After 2 years rising through the junior ranks, he began playing in the senior band on 2nd baritone and during his time with BTM he achieved a victory at the First Section Regionals in 2020.
During lockdown, Elliot furthered his development and was given the opportunity to play with the City of Cardiff (Melingriffith) Band on Solo Baritone. On the return to the contesting stage after COVID, he was awarded best baritone at Wychavon festival of brass. Elliot’s 3 years with the band included many performance highlights, most notably competing in his first ever Championship Section National Finals at the Royal Albert Hall in 2022.
Following his time at City of Cardiff, Elliot was given the opportunity to play with the Tredegar Town Band on Solo Baritone, and looks forward to developing his playing career in the band, alongside his studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama.
We are very fortunate to have excellent musicians in the band...
